This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
